ベルギー、ディーペンベーク、15日 日 – 前臨床段階の受託研究機関（CRO）のリーディングカンパニーであるInnoSerは、カブキ症候群の治療法開発を推進する世界的な非営利団体「カブキ症候群財団」との提携を発表できることを誇りに思います。この提携により、 現在有効な治療法が存在しない希少遺伝性疾患であるカブキ症候群に対する、新規治療候補の非臨床研究を促進します。本提携は、希少遺伝性疾患モデルにおけるInnoSerの豊富な専門知識と、非臨床研究の実施において実証済みの能力を基盤としており、バイオテクノロジーおよび製薬分野のイノベーターが治療候補の発見と開発を加速させることを支援し、この希少疾患に対する将来の治療法への道を開くものです。  

Helping Address the Unmet Medical Need for Kabuki Syndrome 

Kabuki syndrome is a rare, neurodevelopmental disorder, characterized by a range of developmental and cognitive impairments, including memory deficits and difficulties with visuospatial learning, as well as immune dysfunction and other chronic symptoms. These challenges severely impact individuals and their families, creating a high unmet medical need. With no approved therapies available, this collaboration will accelerate rigorous preclinical testing of candidate therapies for Kabuki syndrome, which is a critical prerequisite before advancing to clinical trials.  

この共同研究の第一段階は、 LSD1阻害剤である カブキ症候群の治療におけるLSD1阻害剤としての治療の可能性を、十分に特徴が解明されているKmt2d+/βGeo マウスモデルにおいて、 その治療の可能性を検証することです。このモデルは、 Dr博士の研究室によって初めて同定された、十分に特徴づけられたKmt2d+/βGeo ハンス・ビョルンソン 博士（1）の研究室によって初めて特徴 づけられたマウスモデル です。カブキ症候群研究の第一人者である同博士が率いる研究室で初めて特徴づけられたマウスモデルです。Oryzon Genomics社が開発したヴァフィデムスタットは、 オリゾン・ジェノミクスが開発したヴァフィデムスタット 中枢神経系疾患および腫瘍学向けのエピジェネティクスに基づく医薬品の開発に注力する、臨床段階の有力バイオ医薬品企業である同社が開発した「ヴァフィデムスタット」は、すでに複数の神経疾患を対象とした第II相臨床試験で検証されており、現在第III相試験へと移行中であり、ヒトにおける忍容性が確認されている。  

InnoSer to Serve as Central Hub for Preclinical Kabuki Syndrome Studies 

今後、InnoSerは、 Kmt2d+/βGeo マウスモデルにおける前臨床研究の中核拠点としての役割を果たします。この一元化に加え、カブキ症候群財団による戦略的な調整と支援により、研究者には、今後のあらゆる前臨床研究を外部委託するための迅速かつ費用対効果の高いソリューションが提供されます。InnoSerが持つKmt2d+/βGeo  モデルコロニーの維持管理における専門知識と、候補薬の分子および行動評価の実施における実績ある専門知識を組み合わせることで、この提携は、主要なバイオテクノロジー企業や製薬企業のイノベーターが、迅速な研究実施スケジュール、厳格な前臨床研究を行うための標準化されたプラットフォーム、そして専門的な科学的サポートを提供することにより、カブキ  症候群治療薬の開発を加速させることを目指しています。具体的には、迅速な研究実施スケジュール、厳格な前臨床研究を行うための標準化されたプラットフォーム、そして専門的な科学的支援を提供します。
