Cognitive Tests – Self-Paced 5-Choice Serial Reaction Time Task (5CSRTT)
The Self-Paced 5-Choice Serial Reaction Time Task (5CSRTT) is a variation of the traditional 5CSRTT designed to assess attention, impulsivity, cognitive flexibility, and response inhibition in rodents
Key Research Model Applications of the Self-Paced 5-Choice Serial Reaction Time Task (5CSRTT)
InnoSer offers a proprietary, modified, fully automated 5-choice serial reaction time (5CSRTT) protocol without scheduled food deprivation and extensive animal handling (Remmelink et al. 2017). Mice have a 24-h/day task access from their home-cage, during which they can progress in the task at their own pace while earning unlimited food rewards, depending on their performance. The self-paced 5-CSRTT test provides a rapid and highly translational assessment of impulsivity and attention in multiple disease models.

Animal Welfare
The 3Rs impact everything from policy and regulatory change to the development and uptake of new technologies and approaches. This is why InnoSer has ongoing commitment and monitoring of these processes. The steps we practice maximize our ability to replace, reduce and refine animal involvement and facilitate our commitment to these principles when it comes to research and drug development.
