InnoSer International now offers sponsors a single, flexible partner across the full preclinical path, from early feasibility testing through GLP-compliant, submission-ready data. The addition of Vivo Science’s expertise reflects InnoSer’s ongoing strategy of expanding across Europe through organic growth paired with the selective acquisition of specialized CROs.
Diepenbeek, August 4 2026 – InnoSer International bv (InnoSer) has now finalized the acquisition of all assets from Vivo Science GmbH (Vivo Science), a Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)-certified preclinical contract research organization based in Gronau, Germany. The acquisition, effective August 1st, adds a GLP-certified testing site to InnoSer’s existing network of facilities in Belgium and the Netherlands, extending the organization’s capability to conduct regulatory-grade safety studies.
The acquisition secures the site’s future, retaining its scientific and technical teams, GLP certification, and existing client relationships under the InnoSer group. It also opens the door to further investment in the site’s capabilities as InnoSer Deutschland GmbH. Vivo Science’s integration into the InnoSer group reflects a shared identity across what is now a three-site organization, not a change in how the site itself operates. Sponsors will experience the same direct scientist access, the same certified offering, and the same data integrity with continuous service a priority throughout the transition.
Prior to the acquisition, Vivo Science and InnoSer shared a common approach to preclinical research: scientific rigor paired with specialized expertise, and responsive partnerships with sponsors. That shared philosophy, combined with growing sponsor demand for a single regional partner able to support research from exploratory testing through regulatory submission, made the acquisition a natural next step rather than a departure for either organization. Moreover, the acquisition marks the next step in InnoSer’s ongoing strategy to strengthen its local presence across key European life science hubs.
As pharmaceutical modalities grow more complex, selecting the right test system for a given program becomes an increasingly significant decision. Non-GLP studies generate the data needed to refine a program’s design ahead of formal testing. GLP studies, by contrast, are required to support regulatory submissions and represent a significant investment of time and budget once initiated. Combining InnoSer’s translational efficacy model expertise with Vivo Science’s toxicology experience lets our team guide sponsors toward the most predictive test system from the earliest stages of design. That same model then carries through to GLP-compliant data, supporting sponsors from proof-of-concept through IND-enabling studies, without a change of provider. The result is research built around systems chosen for relevance rather than convenience, reducing the risk of costly redesign later in a program and giving sponsors greater confidence that early results will hold up as development advances.
Vivo Science has specialized in immunology, toxicology, and viral safety testing for the pharmaceutical, medical device and chemical industry since the early 2000s. The company obtained GLP certification in 2004 and GMP status in 2007, becoming an independent entity as Vivo Science GmbH in 2008. Since then, it has built a strong reputation for immunogenicity, immunotoxicology, and virology in vivo assays, supporting sponsors through both efficacy and regulatory-focused non-clinical testing.
With Vivo Science’s expertise, InnoSer offers access to expanded toxicology and safety evaluation services including acute, subacute, subchronic, and chronic toxicity studies (OECD 402–453), immunotoxicology, sensitization, and genotoxicity testing, alongside regulatory-aligned study design across ICH, ISO 10993, and OECD/EFSA frameworks, supporting submissions to EMA, FDA, and REACH. Together, these additions extend InnoSer’s non-clinical offering beyond efficacy testing into a more complete path toward IND submission-ready data.
“Our approach is to expand the capabilities and support we provide to sponsors while maintaining the close collaboration and direct access they value. Study teams remain scientist-led, with researchers staying closely involved throughout each study. Joining InnoSer allows us to build on the strengths that matter most to our sponsors while creating new opportunities to support their work.”
– Dr. Marion Hecht, Director of Operations, InnoSer Deutschland GmbH
“This acquisition is a direct extension of our growth strategy: broadening InnoSer’s footprint across Europe, deepening our technology platforms, and strengthening our regulatory and safety-testing capabilities for sponsors. We’re proud to welcome Vivo Science’s excellent team into the InnoSer group, and to give sponsors an even more complete partner from early discovery through regulatory submission.”
– Dr. Kris Motmans, CEO, InnoSer International bv
With Vivo Science now part of the group, InnoSer supports sponsors across three sites in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany from early feasibility work through GLP-compliant, submission-ready data. Sponsors gain a broader regulatory toolkit, backed by the same direct, scientist-led approach.
